After working as a boilermaker in the steel mills of Ohio, Kevin P. Keating became an instructor of English and began teaching at Baldwin Wallace University and John Carroll University. His essays, stories and reviews have appeared in Salon, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Blue Lake Review, The Red Rock Review, among others. The Natural Order of Things, his first full-length novel, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes/First Fiction Award. His second novel The Captive Condition, published as a Pantheon hardcover, was featured at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con International. He resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
